Apple will unveil its foldable iPhone Ultra next week at the September event , but it’s unclear exactly when the new model will ship to users. Here’s what to expect per the latest reporting.

Fortunately, the most recent reporting is optimistic that we’ll see the device ship in September—albeit with limited supply. Macworld heard a similar plan from its sources.
But even though iPhone Ultra will be announced at the same event, it’s still unclear if Apple’s foldable model will actually ship to users at the same time as iPhone 18 Pro. Ming Chi-Kuo predicted earlier in the summer that iPhone Ultra will follow a similar strategy to the iPhone X in 2017.
Earlier this month, Weibo leaker Fixed Focus Digital said supply will be “extremely limited” at launch, but per his sources in the supply chain, there’s no evidence of a delay past September.
Similarly, a July report in Cailian News Agency referenced conversations with Apple supply chain sources. ChannelNews Australia was another recent source saying the device would be available in September, at least in the US. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are coming too, expected to go on sale later that week ahead of wide availability September 18.
