A new Counterpoint Research report shows Apple, Garmin, and Huawei bucking a market-wide decline in smartwatch shipments in Q2 2026, with Huawei reaching a record share of global shipments. Here are the details.

Apple saw the biggest jump, with shipments up 14% year over year and accounting for 20.1% of global smartwatch shipments, according to the report. This kept Apple in second place, behind Huawei, which saw shipments grow 1% year over year and held a 21.8% share. The ranking continues with Imoo, which held a 7.8% share despite a 3% year-over-year drop in shipments, followed by Xiaomi at 6.1% with a whopping 38% decline. Garmin held a 5.6% share after shipments grew 11%, while other brands collectively accounted for the remaining 38.5%, with shipments down 8% year over year. Here’s Anshika Jain, Principal Analyst at Counterpoint Research , on Apple’s performance for the quarter, compared with its closest competitors: “Huawei led the market shipments in Q2 2026, while Apple recorded the fastest YoY growth among the top five brands.
