The official MLB app for iPhone is rolling out a useful update for fans who want to follow more games. Both the CarPlay app and Live Activity experience has improved in a few ways.
Why It Matters
To get started, open Gameday for a matchup and tap the new Track button in the header. The game will then appear on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
Previously, the feature was limited to a user’s favorite team.
How It Works
Fans can browse live and upcoming games, select a matchup, and choose their preferred team’s radio feed. CarPlay will show the score and key game details while the broadcast plays, with the app’s hide-scores setting still respected for anyone avoiding spoilers. CarPlay in iOS 26 and later can also display iPhone widgets.
