I’ve always thought that the iMac G4 was one of the most beautiful products Apple has ever made. It’s now more than two decades old, but I still think it looks as futuristic as it did on the day it launched.

Sheets described his creation of the iMac G4 with an M1 chip as a passion project in celebration of the life and inspiration of Steve Jobs.
He created the machine back in 2021 by fitting the innards of an M1 Mac mini into the casing. The original display is fed from a video signal on the Thunderbolt port.
He’s now installed macOS 26 on it and says he loves how good Liquid Glass looks on the hybrid machine.

From the comments in the thread, I’m far from the only person who agrees with him that it looks amazing.
We may see the resurrection of something similar to this design with the upcoming HomePod with screen, which may be branded as a HomePod or a HomePad.
