I’ve been using iPhone 18 Pro for the past week after a full year as an iPhone Air user. And while there are advantages with each model, my main takeaway about iPhone 18 Pro so far is that it has zero compromises. Here’s what I mean.

But after a week with iPhone 18 Pro, that word “best” keeps coming back to me. iPhone 18 Pro (and Pro Max) pack the absolute best camera system Apple makes, have the best battery life, and perform better than any other models.
Like my iPhone Air, the iPhone Duo will have a worse camera system than iPhone 18 Pro. But several days into using iPhone 18 Pro, I was able to find fresh appreciation for how futuristic the Air feels. The iPhone Air and iPhone Duo share a lot in common. Besides having similar design traits, they also both have shortcomings. Battery might be comparable but definitely worse than the Pro Max, and I suspect sustained performance will lag a bit too. iPhone Duo will also lack Face ID and the Action button. The Air’s thinness had become the norm for me after a year of use. And I suspect iPhone Duo will evoke similar feelings—not just for its design, but its utility too.
