Crime thrillers are one of Apple TV’s most popular genres, and the streamer just announced its latest offering that’s coming soon. Hugh Laurie stars as a crime boss who’s betrayed by someone at his firm, is sent to prison, and plans to break out. The cast also includes Thandiwe Newton, Fionn Whitehead, Gina McKee, Hazel Doupe, Elliott Heffernan, and Stephen Dillane. The Wanted Man hails from George Kay, the creator of Idris Elba thriller Hijack . Here’s Apple’s official plot summary: When organized crime boss Felix Carmichael (Hugh Laurie) is betrayed by someone inside his own firm and sent to the notorious Staplehurst prison, he’s forced to remember his own brutality to fight for survival. With his family, firm and fortune at stake, Felix resolves to do the unthinkable: escape.
