Apple TV just added a bunch of classic movies for subscribers, and the move comes just ahead of an especially film-heavy fall lineup for the streamer.
And Apple looks set to capitalize on that trend. This week Apple TV added a ton of classic movies free for subscribers. With these additions, Apple essentially doubled its film library overnight. Licensing these movies doesn’t mean Apple is giving up on original films. In fact, its surprise movie drop comes just ahead of a packed fall lineup of brand-new movies. Apple TV has six new films coming soon with its fall lineup:
Titles vary by region, but in the US they include popular hits like The Martian , Arrival , Gone Girl , The Proposal , Zodiac , 21 Jump Street , and more.
