Apple TV's surprise hit series is making the jump to theaters for one night only

While Apple TV has found success at the box office, Apple usually reserves theaters for its movies, not its series. However, one hit show from Apple this year is coming to the cinema for one night only in select venues across the country: Widow’s Bay.

Event Context

“We’re thrilled to partner with Rutgers University to bring Widow’s Bay to fans and give them a chance to experience the final episodes of the season in a shared setting,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV. “Katie Dippold has created a uniquely entertaining world filled with unforgettable characters, sharp humor and surprising turns, and we’re excited for audiences to come together to celebrate the series and the incredible response it has received.”

Specifically, the screening will consist of the series’ final three episodes. The finale first streamed on Apple TV on June 17. The three-episode run consists of 33-minute, 31-minute, and 48-minute episodes.

Those interested in attending the special screening event can find tickets here.

The complete first season of Widow’s Bay is streaming now on Apple TV. Widow’s Bay will return for a second season on Apple TV.
