Apple is rolling out a new round of beta firmware updates for several AirPods models, including AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods Max 2. Here are the details.
Apple seeds new round of AirPods firmware betas
Following yesterday’s release of iOS 27 beta 3 and its counterparts, Apple is now rolling out new beta firmware for these AirPods models:
The timing follows the pattern established last month, when Apple released its second round of AirPods firmware betas one day after rolling out iOS 27 beta 2.
AirPods Max 2 is once again included in the beta program, as iOS 27 and its counterparts now allow the device to install and run beta firmware updates.
The release build for AirPods firmware version 9.0.314 is 9A5314b.

Apple notes that once users turn on the “AirPods Beta Updates” switch, “firmware updates will be installed when your AirPods are in their charging case and nearby” the paired iPhone or Mac.
